Fake and Slop Content On YouTube

— Edited

While it may be a little exaggerated, I'm certain that we are consuming more and more non-genuine, mass-produced, slop content.

For example, surely at least half of these aren't "real". In the sense that one individual is running one specific channel. Some of them obviously use AI voice-overs, but for many it's hard to tell.

So many of them follow the same schema: short, about 10-minute-long, videos that explain some parts of life in an easy way. And most of these channels are also suspiciously young at the time of writing. All created in 2025. The scary thing is, they are getting too close to emulating genuine, informative channels, ran by real people.
